Let’s skip the runaround. You want to know what a house cleaning costs in Toledo, and most companies make you fill out a form and wait for a call to find out.
I’m Stephanie, and I run Order & Grace. Here’s the real answer.
The short version
For a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom home, a standard clean starts at $100 and a deep clean starts at $150. Larger homes cost more, and your exact price depends on bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footage. You’ll see it before you book. No mystery fees, no “we’ll see when we get there.”
What actually moves the price
Size of the home. More bedrooms, more bathrooms, and more square footage means more time on the job. Simple as that.
Type of clean. A standard clean keeps up a home that’s already in decent shape. A deep clean goes after the buildup behind and under things, so it costs more because it takes more time.
How often you book. Recurring clients pay less per visit. Weekly saves you 15%, bi-weekly saves 10%, and monthly saves 5%.
Extras. Inside the oven, inside the fridge, interior windows, and pets (a flat $25 for pet hair) are add-ons. You only pay for what you actually want.
Why your first clean costs more
Every new client starts with a deep clean. It isn’t an upsell. I can’t see your home before we show up, and “recently cleaned” means something different to everyone. Starting with a deep clean means every visit after it is a standard clean that stays standard, and your price stays lower for the long haul.
What you’re really paying for
Think about what your time is worth. If you work a full shift and then spend your one free evening scrubbing a shower, that’s a trade. A clean house costs money, but so does an evening you never get back.
I’m not going to tell you cleaning is a necessity. For a lot of families in Northwest Toledo, Point Place, and Oregon, it’s a treat or a pressure valve, a way to get one thing off the list. That’s a good reason to hire someone, and nobody should make you feel fancy or guilty about it.
How to get the most for your money
Book recurring if you can. It’s the biggest savings, and the house stays easier to keep up.
Tidy surfaces before we arrive. Clear counters and floors mean our time goes to cleaning, not picking up.
Skip extras you don’t need. Pick the one or two that matter most to you.
Be honest about the condition of your home. It helps us show up prepared and keeps your price accurate.
